This month has seen the kick off warmer weather and the beginning of some pretty awesome events down at Bondi Beach! 

As Bondi Beach residents, we thought we'd write about some pretty cool events that are happening this month and tell you how you get best participate! 

1. Sculptures By The Sea - Saturday 20 October 2018 to Sunday 04 November 2018

Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, the world’s largest annual free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year, returning to the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. With 500,000 visitors viewing over 100 sculptures by artists from around the world. This event must not be missed.

While not bring the family or just your closest friends, enjoy some lunch at one of the world famous Bondi cafes or take a swim in the iconic Bondi Beach wearing your newest beachwear from Between The Flags.

As one of Sydney’s most beloved and photographed events, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi attracts over 500,000 visitors over the course of 18 days and signals the beginning of summer in Sydney.

2. Bondi Archery - Sunday 21 October 2018 to Sunday 02 December 2018

Come and try archery at Bondi. Enjoy the ancient art of archery with beautiful views over Bondi Beach. All equipment and training supplied. No previous experience necessary. Minimum eight years of age.

Sydney Archery is focussed on promoting archery in a safe environment while encouraging the development of physical fitness and self confidence to all age groups. Archery provides the opportunity to foster these character building principles and have fun along the way.

3. Bondi Markets - Bondi Markets are Every Sunday from 10am – 4pm & Bondi Farmers Markets are every Saturday from 9am – 1pm.

Established in 1993, the Bondi Markets set up shop every Sunday from 10am – 4pm in the colourful, beachfront grounds of Bondi Beach Public School. With clothing from up-and-coming designers, handmade jewellery, exotic imports, retro-chic furniture, vinyl records, one-off vintage pieces, homewares, art and so much more, the Markets are a treasure trove of unique pieces.

The beautiful Bondi Farmers Markets are full with Fresh produce and Gourmet eats. The market brings you fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, organically grown meat and poultry, just picked flowers, artisan breads, homemade jams, farmstead cheeses, seafood, olive oils, herbs, spices, and much more.

4. Weekly Meditation Classes In Bondi Junction - The free meditation classes will take place between 11am and 12:15pm every Monday.

For beginners and regulars - join at any time.

Finding balance in life - how to meditate at home, how to keep in balance, techniques to help reduce stress. All sessions will include guided collective meditations, video/audio lectures by Shri Mataji (founder), discussions and Q and A sessions.

Sahaja Yoga aims to address imbalances by awakening the innate spiritual potential. This is a simple but profound experience that can naturally help to harmonise and integrate life. Regular meditation can help to eliminate much inner stress and tension.

The Sahaja Yoga Meditation technique is very easy to learn. There are no difficult exercises or special clothing required and it can be done while sitting on a chair. All Sahaja Yoga classes are free and no booking is required.
